SHRM Foundation & SHRM Florida: Seeking Volunteers

SHRM Florida is proud to champion and support the work of the SHRM Foundation, including its Untapped Talent initiatives. We are especially committed to advancing opportunities for older workers and helping organizations recognize and unlock the value they bring in an Age of Opportunity. 

One of the most promising efforts underway is a partnership with AARP Foundation to pilot the Back to Work 50+ Volunteer Career Coach Program. This initiative is designed to help older workers re-enter the workforce with confidence, purpose, and a clear pathway forward.

We need your time and expertise to bring this pilot to life. 

By volunteering, you will not only make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals navigating workforce re-entry — you will also help shape a model that has the potential to scale nationally.

What to expect:

• 3–4 hours of self-paced training designed to sharpen your knowledge and skills for career development conversations.
• ~2 hours per week of coaching (scheduled flexibly between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM in your time zone)
• 6-week commitment
• Fully remote and designed to fit around your schedule
